Wet Winter Wonderland for Evansville Area
Tri-State residents awoke to a nice inch to inch and a half of snow on the ground this morning. The good news was that none of it was on the roads. Even better news was that the snow was already starting to slowly melt off of vehicles.
Workers left home early to take extra time to make their drives to work in a safe manner. While most drivers took the weather in consideration and slowed down, there were those few that were taking their life in their own hands and drove faster than the posted limits, weather be damned.
At 5:45 central this morning, the temperature was above the freezing mark at 34 degrees. Once the sun rises, the temperature should rise as well, and the snow would be expected to disappear by noon.

Hi Shawn,
Brrr…sounds like you guys need to wrap yourselves into a warm blanket while we can nearly paddle the roads.

We got the snow in Alberta, too. The big difference is the below zero temperatures made the roads into skating rinks, and everybody is crawling along on the highways.
Almost everything melted through the day. Problem is that we’re going to 21 degrees tonight, so all that water is freezing as I type this.
