Castle Dominates Central 64-43

Central’s 6 game winning streak is over.

The Castle Knights ended the SIAC champion’s streak with a combination of devistating offense and a smothering defense.  After being tied in the 2nd quarter, the Knights went on a 19-0 route that lasted until near the end of the 3rd quarter when Central finally hit a 3 pointer.

A major contribution to Castle’s win was the towering presence of one Luke Sprague.  Sprague, playing forward, used his height (I’m 6′5″ and he’s tall to me) to end the night 1 blocked shot away from pulling off a triple double.

After Castle’s loss last week in the first round of the SIAC tournament, they came into this game with something to prove.  Central, on the other hand, maybe came into the game thinking that it was won before it started.  Should be an interesting match-up should they meet again in a possible sectional at the end of the year?
