Boerger Signs with University of Evansville’s Soccer Team
Phil Boerger of Jamestown High School in Jamestown North Dakota signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Evansville and play for the Purple Aces’ soccer team.
Boerger was named North Dakota’s Outstanding Senior Athlete and led his home team to the state tournament for the first time in 8 years. He has also toured Europe as a member of the Olympic Development Program, earned Interregional All-State Honors in 2006, and was involved with the Adidas Elite Soccer Program.
There is a good chance that Boerger could start some games in his freshman year at UE. The Purple Aces graduated their top goalie and only have one left, a senior. The University of Evansville is a Division I soccer team.
