Holiday World Announces Two New Directors - Press Release
SANTA CLAUS, IN—–Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari President Will Koch announces the appointment of two new directors to the parks’ staff.
As Director of Games, M. Wayne Hall hires, trains and motivates 115 seasonal employees for the park’s Games Department. A graduate of Tecumseh High School, Hall has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. Most recently, he served as Director of Foods at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari for a dozen years. He also worked seasonally at the park while in high school and college. Hall resides in Santa Claus.
Director of Entertainment Sandi Fortune also started out seasonally at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, as a musical entertainer from 1988 through 1991. A graduate of Heritage Hills High School, Fortune has a Bachelor’s degree in English Education, Theatre and Speech from Oakland City University plus a Master’s in Counseling from Western Kentucky University. As Director of Entertainment, she is in charge of auditioning, casting, and rehearsing the live musical entertainment in the park. Fortune, who also teaches at Heritage Hills High School, lives in Santa Claus with her husband, Brian, and their three children.
Holiday World opens for the 2008 season on May 3, with the premiere of Star Spangled Carousel and Reindeer Games; Splashin’ Safari opens for the season on May 10 with the new Kima Bay monkey-themed family waterplay attraction.
